PC Manufacturer Will Use Primary Response SafeConnect to Block Malicious Attacks

In March of 2006, Sana Labs detected an “in-the-wild” rootkit, dubbed the Hearse worm, which was discovered to be stealing upwards of 40,000 pieces of personal and financial information and sending it to a Russian server.  Sana Security’s detection capabilities enabled SafeConnect users in the field to identify and remove the threat before any traditional anti-virus vendor and disable the rootkit. The progressive, stealthy worm exploited thousands of computer users, with the exception of Sana’s customers deploying its anti-malware solution.
