Sana Security Scientist Shares Strategies for Protecting the Infrastructure from Human-Driven Attacks

What:
Senior Research Scientist at Sana Security, Dr. Matthew Williamson, will discuss the importance of a defense-in-depth security approach for addressing today’s evolving threat landscape at the Vanguard Enterprise Security Solutions & RACF Users Training 2006 conference. This talk will examine the inefficiencies in signature-based security models and raise the importance of layering traditional security solutions with behavioral malware protection in order to improve protection response time for unknown and zero-day attacks.

Additionally, in a separate talk, Dr. Williamson will further explore traditional anti-virus security methods and the vulnerability window that’s often left open between detection and remediation. Ultimately, Williamson will provide recommendations for a resilient infrastructure that is capable of detecting malicious threats including, spyware, malware, rootkits, Trojans and keyloggers.
